The Farm Shop

Robertshaw’s Farm Shop is on our working sheep farm and our shop has been producing and selling fresh food for over 40 years.

The shop has developed over the years, and we have added and extended the old tractor sheds which is where the shop now stands. Our ranges have grown too! We’ve gone from selling potatoes and vegetables at the side of the road to having an award-winning Butchers, Delicatessen, Greengrocers, Larder and a range of Beers, Wines and Spirits. We also have an offsite Bakery, producing our award-winning pies and a range of delicious cakes and sweet treats.

A rainbow of fruit and veg

We are all about fresh food and our large fruit and vegetable display is the first thing you see when you come into the shop. We have hundreds of varieties to choose from, all fresh every day and we buy local as much as we can. Oranges are a little tricky to grow in Yorkshire!

Award-Winning Butchers

Our award-winning butchery is the heart of the business. We farm our own lambs for the shop and our owner James visits three local auction marts every week to buy from local farmers we know and trust. Our master butchers have over 200 years of experience between them and we butcher our meat in house, with our beef in hung for a minimum of 21 days.

Our Larder

Our Larder boasts over 200 local and Yorkshire producers and suppliers. Championing local means supporting local businesses, reducing food miles and knowing exactly where our food comes from. We taste test everything that goes onto our shelves, Taste is key in everything we do and only the best products are sold in the shop. You can't beat the taste of fresh food and you can't get fresher than what's found on your doorstep.

The Delicatessen

The Delicatessen has a large selection of products including our own cooked meats, award-winning pies and pastries and a range of curries made by Agraah.

Meet the Suppliers

Our lovely suppliers are often in the shop with their pop-up tasting tables. Meet the passionate people who create delicious products. We know our suppliers well, so they love coming to the shop to meet our customers and tell them all about how their products are made. It’s a great opportunity to try something new and learn about where your food comes from.

We put a lot of time and effort into finding new and exciting products to stock on our shelves, but we also know that sometimes only branded tomato ketchup will do so we also have an extensive range of nations favourites. We want our customers to be able to do a full shop including store cupboard, cleaning, and frozen essentials, not forgetting our extensive wine and beer section.

We are very competitively priced and it might surprise you that supporting your local farm shop will not cost as much as you think!

We hope to see you in the shop soon!
